EV4 has teamed up with North Coast Electric to offer the Pacific NorthWest a zero carbon transportation option. North Coast Electric is demonstrating its commitment to the region and the communities they serve by errecting the regions first ETM™ (Energy Transfer Merchant). This system designed for two parking spaces (at a time) consists of a canopy of solar panels, batteries, battery management system, smart grid wireless router and EV chargers (level 2 & 3). The whole system then becomes a “Smart Grid Element”. With out a healthy grid there are no buildings. Without addressing Co2 while being transported to the building you ignore 1/2 of the problem. The ETM is intellligent and can address and recieve renewable energy from events on the the grid when it occurs and solves the “what do we do with intermittent renewable energy events, like wind at night” problems. The stored energy is avalable to the grid operator for frequency modulation, load balancing and peak shaving, the building the parking lot serves as a UPS or the passing EV driver for green electricity. The Grand Opening of the first ETM™ in Washington is August 31 st @ 2450 8th Avenue South, 98134 at Noon. Everyone at Race to Zero should attend and show their support for North Coast Electric (The distributor) and EV4 (the Manufacturer) for this ‘Think Big” “Race to Zero” machine is ready to serve all of Seattle with many more to come!
